Yash Urges Fans to Support ‘Ramayana’, Look Beyond VFX Flaws Ahead of Release

Yash urges fans across Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi cinema to support Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and look beyond VFX criticism as Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi prepare for the epic’s worldwide release.

Actor Yash, who portrays Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming epic Ramayana, has urged fans to support the ambitious project with an open mind, asking audiences to look beyond minor technical shortcomings and focus on the film’s larger vision ahead of its worldwide release.

Speaking at a special event for the film in Hyderabad, Yash appealed to audiences across India’s film industries to unite in support of the project and the team behind it. He urged fans not to focus excessively on issues such as visual effects (VFX), emphasising that the opportunity to bring such an ambitious film to audiences should not be taken for granted.

“If they like it, they will talk about it,” Yash said before making a direct appeal to viewers. “Please don't try to find small faults; VFX, this-that. This chance won't come again. For years. If we lose people like him now, we'll go back,” he said.

Yash then asked audiences to approach the film with an open mind, acknowledging the intentions of the team behind the project and its willingness to respond to criticism.

Yash’s remarks came amid social media discussions surrounding the film’s visual effects and character designs. The team has reportedly been monitoring online reactions ahead of the release, with producer Namit Malhotra actively following social media trends, feedback and controversies related to the highly anticipated mythological epic, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend.

Following the release of early video assets, Malhotra reportedly tracked online discussions about the film’s visual effects and character designs. He subsequently issued an official statement acknowledging the feedback and stating that the team was “listening closely” as it worked to refine the output. Shortly afterwards, fans noted major changes in character design, among other developments.

Yash also called on fans from the Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi film industries to come together in support of the film, urging audiences to put aside industry divisions and collectively celebrate the project if they enjoyed it.

“I request all the fans. Telugu industry, Kannada industry, Malayalam industry, Tamil industry, and Hindi industry: For once, if you like the film, Let's come together and show the world,” he said.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The two-part epic is scheduled for a worldwide release, with the first instalment arriving on November 5, 2026, followed by the second part during Diwali 2027.

With Yash’s appeal placing the focus on audience support, an open-minded reception and the team’s response to criticism, the film’s promotional campaign continues ahead of its first instalment’s scheduled release.
